Frequently Asked Questions
How many photos will you take?
That depends on a number of factors including how much time you have asked us to spend at your event, how many photographers you requested and the nature of your wedding. In general, you should plan on roughly 50 images per hour for a single photographer.
Can I get my photos in black & white? What about sepia?
Yes. With our digital workflow every picture can be printed in black and white, color, or sepia.
How long will it take to get my photos?
In most seasons you should have photos within 1-2 weeks from your date.
How many prints will you give me?
Most packages include a print credit that you can use on any combination of print sizes. We also offer very competatively priced reprints and enlargements as well as the digital originals on disc.
Is retouching included?
Yes! You go to a lot of effort to look your best for your session and we take it a step further - smoothing away blemishes, brightening smiles and more. If you have a specific feature that you would like to minimize please let us know before your session begins. We can take extra care with posing to minimize most features. If you want to take retouching to the maximum, we also offer deluxe retouching on request. Deluxe retouching includes skin smoothing, body contouring, tattoo removal and more.
Do you use digital photo equipment or shoot with film and then scan?
We use an all digital work flow, providing crisp, clear images that make beautiful prints up to even very large sizes.
Can I purchase the digital negatives?
Absolutely. Our originals are priced very competitively and come to you on custom printed, attractive archival discs.
Will the negatives be retouched?
Yes. The digital originals will have already been individually retouched for optimal color, contrast, sharpening and more. Any noticeable blemishes will also have been removed.
Will the digital copy I get be full resolution?
Yes. All originals are the maximum file size and are suitable for making both large and small prints.
Are there travel expenses?
Within Salt Lake, Utah, and Tooele counties there are no fees. We offer travel to other locations in and out of Utah and for destination weddings. Contact us for a travel quote.
Is there a fee for on-location work?
No, our location coverage is no extra cost. If you choose a location that requires a photo pass, that fee will be outside the package price.
How much do reprints and enlargements cost?
Our reprints are priced very competatively. Our prices change, as we sometimes offer special discounts and promotions - but the current prices are always available by viewing our proofing website.
How much do your albums cost?
We offer several kinds of custom albums in all price ranges - from under $100 to over $1000. All prices include the layout and most albums are available at a discount when more than one copy is purchased.
If my photos are partially or completely lost or destroyed, will I get my money back?
We take steps to prevent data loss due to viruses and hardware failure and every sessions is stored on a redundant system (that means we have a backup!). If your images were somehow lost before you were able to order your prints we would, of course, refund you for the lost images. This is covered in more detail in our contract.
Can I speak with some of your past customers?
Absolutely. Because we respect the privacy of our customers, we will not publish their private information on our website. If you would like references, please call or email us. You can also read some customer comments on the Client Reviews page.
