Monday morning Lyndsi braved the rain for her bridal session. We got inside just in the nick of time and finished the session indoors. Because we were working mostly indoors we tried some off-camera lighting. Fellow photographers, see if you can tell which images use off camera light and which are naturally lit. If you are first to get them all right, I’ll give you a prize.
The weather is finally turning around and some of the foliage is returning. The Edwards family was the first to take advantage of the sunny weather this spring to get out and have a family portrait session with the entire family. Here are a few from the smaller group shots.
Today I had the pleasure of photographing a newborn named Lilah. She was the perfect model - waking up and falling asleep right on time.

Katie must be the most patient person I’ve met. She put up with a lot: wind, sun, bugs, and a swarm of photographers. She never lost her composure and she never looked anything less than stunning. Here is a portrait of her taken just few yards off the beach just south of Laie.
I was recently lucky enough to spend a week shooting and learning and meeting some great photographers in Hawaii. We photographed several groups that were so generous with their time and patience that they allowed twelve of us to compete for their smiles. I’ll be posting my favorites from the week as they are scanned in (it was a 100% film week!).
